21 & Change Appoints New Board Member Jessica King
Tampa, Fla. (July 8) – 21 & Change’s President Michelle Richards and the Board of Directors unanimously voted at their monthly board meeting last month appointing Jessica King as newest member of the Board of Directors.
Richards said, “When we heard about Jessica’s experience, but more importantly, her reason for having interest in our cause, we were ecstatic to bring her on. Jessica has personally undergone the hardships of having a child with developmental disabilities in the Walton County School District and acted as an advocate on his behalf. She will take a vital role in how we approach IEP Advocacy, as well as fundraising.”
Jessica was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Tulsa where she studied exercise/sport science and sports administration. After moving to Florida in 2016 Jessica earned a licensure in hearing sciences. Jessica is currently a hearing care provider who strives to educate and improve lives through better hearing.
Jessica is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. She is the mother of two boys and one of whom has autism spectrum disorder. She has improved her son’s overall well-being and quality of life by being an advocate for her son during early intervention. Jessica has also assisted individuals with disabilities with finding long-term employment. Through her journey she discovered there is a need for education and resources for individuals with disabilities in her area. This led to her interest in joining 21&Change.
