Scholarships from 21 & Change are intended for children and families who are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford an IEP advocate without scholarship support. In order to provide support to as many families as possible, the following will be adhered to by 21 & Change.

1) Recipients must have a diagnosis of Autism or Down Syndrome.

2) Recipients will be awarded a maximum $500 scholarship from 21 & Change to be used with one of our advocate partners.

3) Scholarships are intended to provide expert advice and advocacy for milestone IEP transitions (Initial IEP Development, Re-Evaluation IEP, Transitional IEP, and Emergency IEP) with the long-term goal of guardian empowerment.

4) Upon completion of advocacy, a progress report will be provided to 21 & Change in writing by both the advocate and family receiving support within one month of service delivery.

5) Scholarship applications will only be approved if submitted at least two weeks before an IEP meeting date, and no more than 2 months prior to an IEP meeting.

6) Scholarships will be approved based on the following income criteria, annual and monthly income must not exceed the listed amounts per household size.
