21 & Change Announces Ambassadors for Change and Founders Award Winners

Tampa, Fla., June 24, 2022 – John Bodor, President and Co-Founder of 21 & Change, and the Board of Directors awarded three recipients with the Ambassadors for Change award and one recipient with the Founders Award this afternoon at their 4th Annual Anniversary and Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon held at the Bryan Glazer Family JCC in Tampa. 

During his opening statement, Bodor shared, “We cannot do what we do without all our sponsors, donors, and supporters. We have been fortunate to have provided 45 individual education plan scholarships thanks to the support of our donors and supporters. We greatly appreciate the time, effort, and resources that you all have committed to our mission which has helped so many families throughout our state.” 

21 & Change recognized three recipients for the Ambassadors for Change award which recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the mission of the organization and to support people with disabilities on the local or state level. This year’s recipients include Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera, Mark Fleming, and Ryan Link. These recipients have dedicated their time, energy, and careers to giving back to the community and supporting children with disabilities.   

This year’s Founders Award recognizes an individual who made a significant impact to the nonprofit’s mission through their support and distinguished service to the community. This year’s award was gratefully accepted by Florida Representative Allison Tant. “I am honored and grateful for this award and it will be something I will always treasure. Thank you to 21 & Change for your efforts and for being the voice for the parents who just want the best for their precious most vulnerable loved ones” Tant shared upon accepting the award.

21 & Change takes an active role in promoting inclusion in the community, the public school system, the workplace and are advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities. 21 & Change Advisor and Florida Representative Jackie Toledo expressed, “This is an amazing organization that provides services for those that truly need it. This scholarship serves those single moms who need additional resources and support and it provides their children the opportunity to receive the education and personalized learning that is critical for their future. I’m proud of what they [21 & Change] do and I will continue to support them.”
