Florida Hate Crime Coalition Hails Bi-Partisan Support For 2020 Hate Crime Bill
21 & Change is working with Florida Anti-Defamation League and Florida Hate Crime Coalition to support a hate crime bill that closes any loopholes and protects more people against hate crimes.
John Bodor, President, 21 & Change, Inc., said: “…Current law does not adequately or comprehensively protect those with certain disabilities in the state from crimes evidencing prejudice and hate. Ensuring that Florida’s statutory definition of disability is as broad in this regard as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), would make this an important step in dignifying the existence and experiences of all Floridians with disabilities.”
